Justin Lehmiller

College Fellow, Harvard University

I am a social psychologist in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, where I teach and conduct research in the areas of relationships, prejudice, and sexuality. I also run a popular blog entitled "Sex and Psychology" that is designed to share the science of sex, love, and relationships in a way that is both engaging and accessible

To date, I have published over 30 scholarly works, which includes several articles published in the leading journals on sex and relationships, multiple book chapters, and two textbooks (A Social Psychology Research Experience and The Psychology of Human Sexuality). Most of my recent research has focused on topics such as secret relationships, casual sex, sexual orientation, and friends with benefits. Across all of this work, my goal is to conduct theoretically grounded research that has the potential to address important social issues.

I am frequently interviewed by numerous media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, CNN.com, The Globe and Mail, and The Sunday Times. In addition, I do freelance writing for major publications, such as Playboy and Boston.com.
