Karalyn McDonald

Research fellow, Monash University

Karalyn has qualifications in sociology and psychology. Her PhD research examined the reproductive decision-making of women with HIV in Australia. She has expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods and long experience working in multidisciplinary teams. Karalyn is the Research Fellow in a Linkage Project funded by the Australian Research Council investigating female genital cosmetic surgery in Australia, led by a team at the Jean Hailes Research Unit. She is also contributing as the qualitative researcher to an RCT aiming to reduce cardiovascular disease in people with HIV in the Department of Infectious Diseases.
