Katherine Alexandra Newman

PhD Candidate, Political Science, University of Victoria

Kate Newman studies political theory, political economy, and urban politics. She is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Victoria, where she previously also completed her MA (2013).

Kate is interested in continental philosophy and contemporary political thought. Her work deals with issues relating to globalization and urban government, and PhD dissertation focuses on nocturnal cities and urban government at night.
