Katherine Browne

Dr Katherine Browne is an associate lecturer and unit coordinator in Pharmacy, Pharmacotherapeutics, and Pharmacology at QUT. She has bachelor degrees in both Pharmacy and Biology and a PhD in cardiac pharmacology. Katherine has published her research in a variety of international journals including the British Journal of Pharmacology. Katherine is also an experienced community pharmacist, having held Dispensary and Store Manager roles. She completed her PhD through QUT, working with the cardiac transplant team at The Prince Charles Hospital. Katherine is passionate about creating pharmacy and allied health professional graduates with a strong background in clinical pharmacology and showing them how to apply this knowledge and skill base to clinical practice. Katherine’s research interests lie in beta-adrenoceptor pharmacology and extending the clinical and patient focussed roles of the pharmacist as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
