Kayleigh Chester

Kayleigh is a Senior Research Assistant in the Centre for Research in Public Health and Community Care, University of Hertfordshire. She predominantly supports the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study for England. HBSC is an international survey-based study conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organization. The study gains insight into young people's wellbeing, health behaviours and their social context; covering a vast variety of topics including bullying, obesity, body image, physical activity, health behaviours and substance use. HBSC is repeated every four years allowing for trends to be examined.

Kayleigh is currently finalising her PhD: "Understanding young people's experiences and perceptions of relational bullying: A mixed methods study." Her doctoral research sought to identify factors from the lives of young people which may help them positively navigate the experience of relational bullying.
