Keith Payne is a social psychologist who studies inequality. He has published widely on the psychological effects of income inequality, and how good people can be unintentionally biased by stereotypes and prejudices. This research is synthesized in his book, The Broken Ladder: How Inequality Affects the Way We Think, Live, and Die.
