Kerrie Foxwell-Norton

Associate Professor in Journalism, Media and Communication, Griffith University

Dr Kerrie Foxwell-Norton is an Associate Professor at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia where she teaches journalism and media studies and social enterprise. Her research interests oscillate around relationships between communication, communities, culture and country. She has consciously sought projects which involve a direct engagement with communities. As a result, she has worked extensively with Australia’s community media sector, various coastal communities and works for and with, an Indigenous community in remote Australia. She is a member of the Griffith Centre for Cultural Research and PERAHU - the Place Evolution and Rock Art Heritage Unit.
