Research Ecologist, Deakin University

I am a research ecologist with BirdLife Australia - Australia's longest running conservation Not-for-profit.

After completing PhD in Zoology at University of Tasmania I worked in private land conservation and environmental consulting until I ended up in the conservation not-for-profit sector. I have experience in a range of surveys across all terrestrial faunal as well as experience in mammal re-introductions and population monitoring.

My current role with BirdLife Australia is wide-ranging, however my focus is generally around urban bird ecology. I am also running a monitoring project looking at the use of blue gum plantation by birds and how better to manage these for bird conservation.
