Kirsten graduated from Durham University in 2012 with a First Class Honours LLB. Having been awarded the Harmsworth Scholarship (Middle Temple) and the Nottingham Law School Scholarship, she then went on to practise as a Barrister, before joining the Law School in October 2015.

Kirsten’s doctoral research explores the role of sugar in relation to non-communicable diseases, with a particular focus on childhood oral health.
