Kylie Sturgess

Dr Kylie Sturgess is a lecturer in the fields of strategic communication and radio at Murdoch University. Her PhD is on creative educational podcasting, during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a part of her M.Ed focusing on anomalistic psychology, she investigated and reported on paranormal, superstitions and pseudoscientific topics and how they intersect with popular culture. Her Masters thesis resulted in co-authoring a paper for the journal Personality and Individual Differences, called "The structure of superstitious action – A further analysis of fresh evidence" (2011).
Kylie has taught philosophy at secondary and tertiary level in Western Australia, and currently lectures in communications, health science, radio broadcasting and creative podcasting.
