Laura is a doctoral candidate at RMIT University. Her current research is concerned with the ways in which markets and marketing are implicated in the production of violence against women and gender inequality.

She has worked on previously worked as a researcher on projects for The Therapeutic Goods Administration, the Consumer Action Law Centre, the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network (ACCAN) and consulted with Deakin's School of Psychology on behavioural change and health promotion in preconception and pregnancy. She also has a Master of Marketing and a Master of Arts (Literature and Writing).
