Senior Lecturer in Latin American Studies, School of Languages and Cultures, University of Sheffield

Lauren’s research interests centre on cultural history and contemporary cultural production in Latin America with a particular focus on Childhood Studies, Education, Popular Culture, Print and Digital Cultures, and Gender Studies.
She is Principal Investigator on the British Academy GCRF Diverse Childhoods and Educational Inequalities in Argentina project and co-director of the Great Latin American Women Project (grandesmujeres.lat). Her book on the history of the Argentine children's magazine "Billiken" is under contract with White Rose University Press.
