I study how communities of microbes interact with our surroundings in indoor spaces. This includes finding out who is lurking where and in what numbers, as well as how we might be able to eliminate dangerous pathogens. I have held an academic role at University College London since 2012 and head a group of researchers all working to make the built environment more microbially healthy.
