Leonard Gómez Núñez

Leonard Gómez Núñez is a crime and violence researcher at Venezuela's National Experimental University of Security (UNES). His research focuses on the criminal justice system in Venezuela, covering topics from policing, to prisons, to gang violence. he received his undergraduate degree in education from the UNES, where he is now pursuing his PhD in citizen security.

Gómez Núñez was a police officer in the Metropolitan Police in Caracas, Venezuela, fro 1999 to 2010. From 2010 to 2015, he was an officer in Venezuela's National Bolivarian Police force.
