I am Associate Professor at the University of Gothenburg, where my main research interests concern Content and Language Integrated Learning, CLIL, and effects of extramural exposure to English for an English L2 learner. In particular, I focus on the development of written proficiency, including vocabulary, of learners of English as a second or foreign language. Furthermore, I am interested in the role of individual differences and motivation in the process of learning a new language.
In addition to my research, I am responsible for the English reading comprehension part of the Swedish scholastic assessment test, SweSAT (see https://www.hogskoleprov.nu/).
