Lorne Whitehead

My research is largely in applied physics, with an emphasis on optics, illumination and vision. Prior to jointing the UBC faculty I was CEO of a technology company that I had founded and since then I have initiated several other companies based on my research. A considerable portion of my university work has been in administrative leadership and in recent years I have been especially involved in building networking improvement partnerships among major research universities.
