Professor Lynette Russell is one of Australia’s leading historians. She has authored or edited 15 books, and numerous journal collections. She is Professor of Indigenous Studies at the Monash Indigenous Centre, Monash University. She is the only Australian scholar to be elected to both the Royal Historical Society (London) and the Royal Anthropological Institute (London). She is the president of the Australian Historical Association.
