I work on several Australian Indigenous languages of Arnhem Land including several endangered languages as well as Kriol, an Australian creole spoken by about 30,000 Indigenous people in northern Australia.

Apart from questions related to language endangerement and language loss, my reserch focuses on emotions and how they are expressed in these languages. This includes many ethnographic and anthropological about daily life and daily emotional life in Aboriginal remote communities.
