Senior Lecturer in Mathematics & Statistics, La Trobe University

Dr Jackson holds a non-teaching position at La Trobe until 2017, though he is partly involved in the delivery of algebra and model theory.

His research interests centre around semigroups, universal algebra and their application. Specific topics include Finite basis problems for varieties, quasivarieties, and Computational complexity and decidability/undecidability.

He is an associate editor of the Mathematics journals Algebra Universalis and the Journal of the Australian Mathematical Society.
