I am employed as a Senior Lecturer in adult psychopathology in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney. My teaching comprises lectures, course co-ordination, clinical supervision and research supervision of postgraduate students enrolled in the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology/Master of Science degree. I have acted as primary research supervisor for more than 20 postgraduate students enrolled in PhD, MSc and M.Clin.Psych degrees. My primary research interests focus on better understanding the nature of anxiety disorders and ruminative thought processes, particularly in relation to generalized anxiety and social phobia. My research also comprises clinical trials aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of current treatments for child and adult anxiety. I have a significant track record of publications in high quality journals with good impact factors and citation rates.
