Adjunct Associate, Department of Forest and Ecosystem Science, The University of Melbourne

Marie is a plant ecologist and Senior Fellow (Adjunct) at the University of Melbourne. She has a strong interest in phenology - the study life cycle stages, the interactions between different phenological phases and the influences such as climate on their development. She is also interested in the development and application of statistical methods in phenology.

Marie is also a founding partner of, and member of the Steering Committee, for Climate Watch – Australia’s citizen science phenological observation network. She is also Vice-President of the International Society of Biometeorology (2014-2017) and a member of its Phenological Commission.
