I am an industrial relations consultant in the Office of the Commissioner for Public Employment. My responsibilities include the negotiation of enterprise agreements, managing disputes, advocacy in the Fair Work Commission and advice to the commissioner, the government and to other government departments. I have also worked as a full-time elected trade union official, a Commonwealth public servant and a high school teacher (specialising in English and English as a second language) both in NSW and the NT. I also work as a casual academic at Charles Darwin University, teaching HRM and IR. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma in Education (University of Sydney); a Master of Industrial Relations (distinction) from Charles Sturt University. I am currently a part-time and external PhD candidate in IR with the University of Western Australia.
