Postdoctoral research associate, University of Cambridge

My education and research has focused on an interdisciplinary approach of philosophy of mind, evolutionary biology, cognitive biology and mainly animal acoustic communication. I have tried to integrate different aspects in my studies reaching from information content in animal signals, signal detection in noisy habitats to experimental designs of signal recognition as well as fundamental ontogenetic development of calls and anatomic characteristics of the avian vocal organ.

From 2008 until 2012 I was working at the Konrad Lorenz Research Centre and the University of Vienna on my PhD thesis “Acoustic Communication in Ravens". From 2013, I have been working at Vienna's Department of Psychotherapy and Biopsychosocial Helath on topics regarding psychosomatics and intentional behaviour in humans and animals. Since October 2016 I have also been a postdocotoral research associate at the Department of Psychology of the University of Cambridge.
