I first graduated from the University of Ferrara (Italy) with a bachelor's degree in biotechnology and a master's in biomolecular and cellular sciences. There I started my first research project testing different biomaterials for bone and cartilage tissue engineering in the lab of Prof. Nastruzzi and Prof. Piva.
In 2015 I was awarded a PhD scholarship at Newcastle University, where I investigated the use of peptide-based molecules mainly for corneal tissue engineering purposes. From 2018 I have been a post doctoral researcher continuing to work in Prof. Connon' s research group.
