Marwa Wasfy is a PhD candidate and Assistant lecturer at the University of Kent. Her research project investigates the future of the Transatlantic security community in relation to the threats of the so-called “The Arab Spring”. As part of her research, Ms. Wasfy examines how the American versus the European have strategically responded to the threats of terrorism, radicalization and migration and how this will influence the dynamics of the Transatlantic security. Her research interest goes beyond the Atlantic security studies, to consider issues of political Islam, gender equality and women in armed conflicts.
