Senior Lecturer in Law, Victoria University

Dr Matt Harvey is a senior lecturer in law at Victoria University, teaching and researching in Australian Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property and European Law. He has also worked in Sports Law and has been a Carlton supporter since 1972. He has also worked in Music Law and has made six albums of his original songs. He received his PhD from Monash University in 2004 for a thesis on constitutional development of the European Union. He obtained BA(Hons)(Politics with French) and LLB from the University of Melbourne and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. He has worked in private and corporate practice and has taught at Deakin, Monash, RMIT, the University of Melbourne and Swinburne before joining Victoria University. He is married with two adult children.
