Manager, Urban Water, Australian Bureau of Meteorology

Matthew has over 15 years’ experience in the urban water industry. Through his professional activities and academic pursuits Matt has gained a significant understanding and background in the fields of urban and catchment hydrology and has developed strong skills in hydrological, hydraulic and water quality modelling. In addition, his background in stormwater management and water resources planning provides for a well-rounded understanding of many of the current issues facing the Australian Water Sector.

Whilst an Associate of BMT WBM, Matt lead the eWater Corporative Research Centre’s Urban Products Team in its development and commercial release of a new integrated urban water cycle modelling framework based on his Ph.D. thesis research.

Matthew now leads the Urban Water Unit at the Bureau of Meteorology as part of its Water Information Programme.
