Research Focus
The research focus in the Earth Systems Ecology Lab is on climate change mitigation and adaptation in forest systems. We use both field-based and modeling approaches to examine a range of topics including: forest carbon, wildfire, and growth modeling. Much of our work is in collaboration with researchers in other disciplines, which enables us to ask questions at multiple temporal and spatial scales, that often cross human and natural systems.
