Lecturer in Physical Geography, Northumbria University, Newcastle

My research aims to understand the coevolution of life and climate, with a view to how future anthropogenic climate change may impact the biosphere. I work at many geographic levels. From individual sites, where I study the geology and palynology to reconstruct palaeoenvironments. Up to global scale reconstructions using large databases, multi-dimensional statistics and numerical climate models.
