Dr Melanie Neeland is an immunologist whose research aims to identify the immune mechanisms driving the development of childhood allergic disease. Dr Neeland completed her PhD in immunology at Monash University in 2015 and is currently leading the immunology research program of the Gastro & Food Allergy Research Group at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. Dr Neeland is a fellow of the NHMRC Centre of Excellence in Food and Allergy Research, a recipient of a Thrasher Research Fund Early Career Award and has recently returned from an invited Visiting Fellowship at the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy & Asthma Research at Stanford University.
