Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Development in Africa, University of Johannesburg

Melinda is a Psychologist with a Doctoral Degree obtained jointly from the Catholic University Leuven, Belgium and the North-West University in South Africa. She is a behavioural scientist with 15-year experience in community psychology work and further 12-year experience in lecturing Psychology at various tertiary institutions. Research for both her Master's degree in Psychology and her PhD thesis focused on vulnerable groups in various marginalised communities in South Africa. Her doctoral research focused on the qualitative inquiry into the lived experience of unemployment of individuals living in South African townships.
Her current position - She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Development in Africa (CSDA) at the University of Johannesburg.
