Instrumental in trialling the Early Development Index in North Metro Perth that ultimately became the Australian Early Development Census repeated every three years. With the PHU’s social epidemiologist, in recognition of their work in this area, awarded the status of honorary research fellows at the Telethon Institute of Child Health Research.

Until July 2016 worked part time as a public health physician with the Unity of First People of Australia (UFPA) which conducted health assessments in remote regions of Western Australia on community request. In collaboration with Diabetes WA developed a comprehensive T2DM primary prevention plan for the remote Kimberley as the AUSDIAB scores are so high. Unfortunately the plan was not implemented due to the demise of UFPA.

Previously inaugural Board Director and Treasurer of the Climate and Health Alliance. Previously chair of the Health in All Policies reference group for the RACP Faculty of Public Health Medicine Policy Advisory Committee which published a position paper in early 2017.

Currently Independent Board Director, Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service; Treasurer and Deputy Chair Wellbeing in Schools Australia; Representative of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) & chair of the Social Determinants of Health Alliance; Project Coordinator Curtin Medical School's "Community Engaged Medical Education in an Urban Setting."
