Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, University of Southern California

Dr. Kim is an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). He attended medical school in Touro University and completed his anesthesiology residency at University of Colorado and his critical care fellowship training at Cedar-Sinai. Since the completion of his fellowship, he has been at Keck Medicine of USC, working both in the operating rooms and the ICU units. His primary role at USC has become the collaborative team leader for the entire hospital’s ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) program. Using his skills in system improvement and collaborative team building, Dr. Kim has built up the ERAS program from its infancy to a very productive and promising program, both for improved cost-effectiveness for the hospital and for enhanced patient recovery. He lives in Glendale, CA, with his wife, Eunice, and his two children, Josiah and Johanna.
