Michelle Blumfield is a Doctor of Nutrition and Dietetics and postdoctoral researcher in the Priority Centre in Physical Activity and Nutrition at the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.

Doctor Blumfield is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, fellow of the Dietetics Association of Australia (DAA), ISAK accredited anthropometrist and leader in her field. She has worked as a nutrition consultant, academic nutrition instructor, invited author and is also the mother of two young children.

Doctor Blumfield has published in top ranking peer-reviewed journals. Her research has focused on the dietary intakes of women during pregnancy and its impact on maternal and offspring health outcomes including foetal body composition, blood pressure and diet quality.
