Dr. Drouin is a developmental psychologist who studies the effects of technology on literacy, communication, and relationships. Most recently, Dr. Drouin has been examining the prevalence and correlates of sexting, including unwanted but consensual sexting and the extent to which undergraduates post illegal or sexually-explicit content online. Dr. Drouin is also studying the ways in which communication is affected by communication medium (i.e., face-to-face, voice, texting, or social networking). She also studies the roles of technology in teaching and learning.
