Associate Professor, Biological Sciences, University of Sydney

Min Chen is an Associate Professor in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Sydney. She obtained her bachelor degree in Biology and Master degree in Plant Physiology from North-East Normal University, China. Chen received her PhD in Plant Molecular Biology in 2003 from University of Sydney, Australia. Dr Chen has established her own laboratory in the same location since she was awarded Australia Research Council Postdoctoral Fellow in 2004. She holds Australia Research Council QEII fellow for 2008-2012. She is the award recipient for the 2011 Science Minister’s Prize for Life Scientist of the year. Her current interest is the red-shifted chlorophylls in photosynthesis and their potential application.
