Nan Bernstein Ratner

Dr. Nan Bernstein Ratner, a certified speech-language pathologist with 40 years of experience, and a Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is Professor and Chair, Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences, the University of Maryland at College Park. She is widely published in the area of stuttering and fluency disorders, as well as child language acquisition and language disorders. With the late Oliver Bloodstein, she is the author of the major reference work in fluency, A Handbook on Stuttering, 6th edition. Recently, the International Fluency Association presented Dr. Bernstein Ratner with its Distinguished Researcher Award.
