Senior Lecturer, Department of Anatomy, University of Pretoria

Nanette Briers is a senior lecturer in the Department of Anatomy, University of Pretoria. She holds a MSc in Physiology and a PhD in Anatomy. Her research focuses on Physical and Forensic Anthropology, specifically craniofacial identification of juvenile and adult remains, as required for presumptive victim identification in homicide, missing person cases and mass disasters. In addition, she also studies patterns of facial growth in children relevant to age progression in missing children.
