Nathan Atkinson

Postdoctoral Researcher in Law and Economics, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich

I am a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich’s Center for Law and Economics.

I study decision-making in legal and business institutions. In particular I focus on topics in law and finance, and private law. I use theoretical, experimental, and empirical techniques to study questions including the design of legal rules, contract design, and corporate governance.

I received my PhD in Business from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2019. My PhD advisers were Anat Admati and Steven Callander. My dissertation committee members included Mitch Polinsky and George Triantis. I received my JD from Stanford Law School in 2018.
