Senior Lecturer in Politics, University of Portsmouth

Nora's research interests are in the field of citizenship and migration studies, and European politics more broadly. She is particularly interested in citizen attitudes towards and participation in national and European politics, and has recently turned to investigating the role of civil society actors in safeguarding citizenship at the national and European levels. She is currently serving as the Convenor of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR) Standing Group on Citizenship (2017-20) and has previously served as a member of its Steering Committee (2014-17). She is leading 'Stream 2: Societal Actors in (Trans)national Networking in a disintegrating Europe' of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for the Study of a Transnational Europe (CESTE2).
