Olalekan Adekola is a Lecturer in Geography at York St John University. He holds a Bachelors of Technology in Geography from Federal University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria; a MSc in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University, The Netherlands; and a Ph.D. in Geography from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He is interested in social, economic and political aspects of environmental change. His research focuses on using interdisciplinary perspectives to understand and solve environmental challenges by feeding findings and outputs of academic research into policy. He has published in the areas of ecosystem services assessments, ecological economics, development studies, water resources management, health risk communication and flood management.
