Paul M H Buvarp is a PhD candidate at the School of International Relations at St Andrews University in Scotland. He has previously studied in MLitt and MPhil programmes and received an MA (Honours) from the same school in 2011. Paul's research focuses on a British secret agent and propagandist who was stationed in Norway during both the First and Second World Wars. The research is made possible by the recent discovery of this agent's extensive documents in a private collection. Themes included in the research include Anglo-Norwegian relations, media history, international history, soft power projection, diplomacy, espionage, propaganda, and the English School of International Relations.
Paul is a senior stipendiate and research grant holder at the Norwegian Institute of Defense Studies under the supervision of Tom Kristiansen.
