Fellow and Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine, Stellenbosch University

Paul is a semi-retired businessman, obstetrician and gynaecologist, and reproductive medicine specialist. He has extensive experience as a private practitioner specialising in the discipline of infertility and menopausal health (reproductive medicine).
He retired from his private practice three years ago and moved to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth, with the idea of spending his last productive years engaged in medical education at all levels, and to complete a PhD in the field of reproductive medicine. He is also helping with the development of a fourth hospital group in South Africa, with the potential of adding a complementary education arm. He has 25 years of experience within the corporate world, and specifically within the private hospital sector. His private medical practice spanned over a period of 30 years, but he has decided to move away from clinical practice in the private sector, and to involve himself in the education and business sectors, and to attempt to integrate them.
He has been extensively involved over a period of many years at senior level within different medical interest groups, representing members both nationally (via the SAMS, SASREG, and SASOG) and internationally (via the IFFS and ISGE).
