Senior Lecturer in Science Education (Chemistry), Sheffield Hallam University

I am a senior lecturer in Science Education (Chemistry) at Sheffield Hallam University. I am the course leader for BSc (hons) Science with Education and QTS where I deliver the chemistry content and support the pedagogical training of students. I also contribute to chemistry and practical work pedagogy on the other routes into teaching in the Sheffield Institute of Education.
I taught for over 20 years in a Rotherham secondary school where I led a large Science Faculty delivering 11-18 courses. I hold a Diploma in Education Management and an MA in Education alongside a PGCE (Chem) and PgCert Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
