Paul Angelo is a PhD Candidate at the Institute of the Americas, University College London. His current research explores security sector reform in Colombia and Mexico. He has earned degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Oxford, where he researched U.S. security assistance in Latin America as a Rhodes Scholar. From 2015 to 2016, he represented the Council on Foreign Relations as an International Affairs Fellow to the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. In addition, he is an Foreign Area Officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve with expertise in Latin American affairs.
