Paul Rhode is an economic historian with interests ranging from performance of election betting marketing to the economic development of the Pacific region.

He has written many books, including "Arresting Contagion: Science, Policy, and Conflicts over Animal Disease Control" with Alan L. Olmstead. He also co-edited publications, such as "Oxford Handbook of American Economic History" and "Economic Evolution and Revolution in Historical Time."
