Environmental Scientist (Ph.D.), Indiana University

I am a forest engineer and environmental scientist associated with the Center for the Analysis of Social-Ecological Landscapes (CASEL) at Indiana University Bloomington. My broader research interests relate to forest ecology, institutional analysis, and environmental policies, mainly in Amazonia. I am particularly interested in (i) the ecological dynamics and role of second-growth forests in conserving and provisioning ecosystem services; (ii) the drivers of land-use and land-cover change, and (iii) the interaction between the diverse regional context-specific realities and the market- and political-driven forces upon the region.
