I am a volcanologist at the University of Portsmouth, researching how the products from explosive eruptions behave, and applying laboratory experiments to understand the seismic signals produced around active volcanoes. I also run the rock mechanics testing unit, which provides materials testing services to the geotechnical, exploration and research sectors.
