Petra Czarniak

Petra Czarniak is the coordinator of the Graduate Entry Master of Pharmacy (GEM) program. Since 2007, Petra has been the primary leader and driving force in designing and developing the GEM course, which is a two-year intensive fast track course that provides graduates, who have an above average degree in another science discipline, a direct pathway to a recognised qualification in pharmacy leading to registration as a pharmacist in Australia and other countries. The course was granted preliminary approval by the Australian Pharmacy Council in 2009, commenced in January 2010 and had its first cohort of students graduate in 2011. Provisional accreditation was granted for the GEM course by the Australian Pharmacy Council in 2011 and full accreditation in 2013. This is in-line with the normal sequence of events to obtaining full accreditation.
