Director, Centre for One Health, University of Global Health Equity

Phaedra Henley (PhD, MES, BMSc) is the Director of the Centre for One Health at UGHE. Here, she oversees the development of its One Health research program, curriculum development and community and student engagement. Prior to joining the UGHE team, Dr. Henley worked as an Assistant Professor in Global Health at Western University, Canada where she contributed to establishing, implementing, and teaching two new graduate programs in global health systems. Dr. Henley has a PhD in Pathology, a MSc in Environment and Sustainability, and a BMSc in Medical Sciences. Her research experiences include conducting interdisciplinary, community-based participatory projects in Naivasha, Kenya and two First Nations in Canada. These studies investigated the real and perceived risks to contaminant exposure using an Ecosystem Health approach.
